Agi De Simone is a Canberra-based visual artist working painting, printmaking, collage, and drawing. She began her art practice in 2009 and undertook formal training at the Canberra Institute of Technology and the Australian National University, where she developed a practice embedded in close observation of the world around her.

Her work spans landscape, abstraction, and the in-between — finding form in waterways, coastlines, movement, and the quiet geometry of familiar places. Series like Waterways, Mountains to the Sea, and By the Sea speak to a deep attentiveness to the natural environment, while works such as Place and Time and In the Moment push toward a more abstract territory, where light, colour, and gesture take precedence over the literal. Across all of it, there is a consistent desire to hold something fleeting — a reflection, a mood, a particular quality of stillness.

Agi has exhibited regularly since 2015, including as a finalist in the Lethbridge Art Prize, and through group exhibitions at M16 Artspace, Belconnen Art Centre, and Strathnairn Art. Her work is held in private collections.
